The Ocean Grove Fire Department thanks you for your interest in volunteering your time to the citizens of Ocean Grove. The department is comprised of a variety of members with backgrounds in professions such as law enforcement, professional EMS, education, engineering, law, small business ownership, ocean rescue, and many more.
Those seeking to join must be 18 years of age or older. A criminal background check and drug test are required, as is a valid driver’s license. Mandatory Firefighter 1 training is free, but must be completed within one year of of joining the department. OGFD provides extensive refresher and supplemental training thereafter.
